  • What is the exact location of the hotel?

    The Hotel Am Panoramabogen is located at the entrance to Cochem when coming from the direction of the Eifel region/Nürburgring/Aachen/B 259. By car, take the first left. Coming from the direction of Trier/Bernkastel-Kues along the Moselle River, drive into the roundabout and turn onto the B 259 towards Ulmen. Then take the first exit on the right.


    Our house is situated slightly above the Moselle River and consists of two buildings: the inn and the hotel. The buildings are connected by a covered walkway through the garden.


  • Where can I find the reception and what are its opening hours?

    The reception is located in the hotel at the corner of Klostergartenstrasse and Am Reilsbach. The reception is staffed from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and often later. Late arrivals are only possible by prior arrangement.

  • Is there a night porter?

    No. The reception is not staffed at night. In absolute emergencies, a responsible person can be reached by phone at other times and will assist you. Access to your room is guaranteed at night via your key. Please inquire at reception.



  • How long does it take to get to the city center and old town?

    The Moselle promenade is about a 5-minute walk away, and the city center is about a 20-minute walk. By car, it's about a 3-minute drive. It's advisable to leave your car at the hotel, as the nearest city parking lots are roughly the same distance away.

  • Why should you book directly with the hotel?

    When you book your hotel stay directly with us, you'll receive excellent value for money, service, and other benefits! Many of our packages, flexible rates, and special offers are not available on any other booking platform. We don't charge any booking fees, and there are no hidden costs. You'll have direct contact with us and our staff. Your booking will be handled individually and guaranteed by us. Subject to availability, you'll have priority for room requests and early check-in.

  • Is the online reservation system on the website secure?

    Our modern reservation system is very simple, fast, and secure. Flexible room rates, offers, availability, and packages are reliably displayed. Some rates require a credit card guarantee. In this case, your credit card is used solely to guarantee the reservation and will not be charged in advance. Your data is encrypted and transmitted securely. When booking a non-refundable offer, please check for any differing cancellation and payment terms.

  • How do you handle general data protection?

    We will not use your email address for marketing purposes unless you give us your permission. If you'd also like to receive news, exclusive offers, and packages, we offer other discounts and opportunities throughout the year. Sign up for our newsletter. You can easily unsubscribe at any time.   • From when can we move into the room?

    Your room is guaranteed from 3:00 PM. Depending on availability and prior arrangement, you are welcome to check in earlier. If you arrive earlier, you can also park your car and have the rest of the day at your leisure.

  • At what time do we have to leave the room?

    Check-out on the day of departure is expected by 11:00 AM. If you depart later, you can park your car and have the rest of the day at your disposal.


  • Is there a place to store bicycles?

    There is a covered bicycle storage area in the garden. The parking spaces are usually ample, and you can lock your bicycles with your own lock. Although there hasn't been a single negative incident in many years, we ask for your understanding that we cannot accept any liability.


    For insurance reasons, charging bicycle/e-bike batteries or similar batteries in hotel rooms is not permitted. There is an increased risk of explosion and fire.

  • From what time to what time are the indoor swimming pool and sauna open?

    The indoor swimming pool is open from 7:00 am to 9:30 pm and the sauna from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.

  • Is the hotel accessible for people with disabilities?

    Unfortunately, due to its hillside location, the hotel is not particularly accessible for people with disabilities. There are several steps from the hotel to the restaurant. We are happy to assist guests with minor mobility impairments. For this reason, we currently do not offer any accessible rooms.

  • Does the hotel have an elevator?

    The restaurant is located on the first floor of the inn (main building), while rooms of types A, A , and D are on the second and third floors. The inn does not have an elevator. The hotel has three passenger elevators. However, two steps must be climbed to reach the rooms.

  • How many stars does the hotel have?

    Like many other hotels, we do not have an official star rating. Star ratings or other classifications you may find online, usually with 3-4 stars or similar symbols, are decisions made by independent tour operators or online travel agencies. We have no influence over these.

  • Does the room offer a view of the Moselle River?

    The hotel is located in a relatively quiet residential area, which many guests appreciate in the densely populated Moselle Valley. Many rooms offer a partial view of the Moselle Valley. The Moselle promenade is just a short walk away.

  • Are pets allowed in the hotel and how much do they cost per day?

    Dogs of medium size are welcome guests. Please let us know in advance if you'll be bringing your dog. The price is €15 per day. Our miniature poodle, Oskar, is always happy to make new friends, both four-legged and two-legged. Whenever possible, we reserve a quieter table for dog owners in the restaurant, out of consideration for other guests, so they can enjoy their meal undisturbed. Dogs are also welcome in the comfortable lounge.


  • When and where is breakfast served?

    We serve our breakfast buffet in the restaurant from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. If you need to have breakfast earlier, please let our staff know.

  • What dining options are available at the hotel?

    The inn houses the "Sehler Mark" restaurant, serving refined German cuisine and international dishes. The daily specials and salad bar are also popular. The hotel features a cozy lounge bar, a place to meet during the day or evening for a good glass of wine or a freshly tapped pilsner. The restaurant kitchen is open from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The lounge bar's closing time varies between 11:00 pm and midnight.

  • Is it possible to accommodate special dietary needs?

    For those with lactose and gluten intolerances, wheat allergies, special diets, or any other allergies, as well as vegetarian or vegan diets, our menu is limited. The diversity of these increasingly common dietary needs compels us to decline any guarantee of a 100% perfect presentation. Unfortunately, our kitchen's technical capabilities no longer allow for this. However, we assure you that we will do our utmost to make your stay as pleasant as possible by discussing your individual requirements, as we always strive to fulfill your every wish.

  • Is there internet access in the hotel and the rooms?

    Free Wi-Fi is available in the lounge, public areas, and guest rooms, subject to availability. We cannot always guarantee that the bandwidth will meet your individual needs. We are constantly working to improve our service.

  • Are there parking spaces at the hotel, and can they be reserved?

    The hotel usually has a sufficient number of parking spaces. Additional parking is available along the street surrounding the hotel. It is also possible to reserve a guaranteed parking space in the hotel's own car park (a 3-minute walk). There are 16 spaces available for this purpose. The cost is €5 per day.

    Yes, you can either book additional services online after selecting your room, such as dinner, or choose one of the attractive packages, which usually already include dinner.

  • Can I book wellness services online?

    Yes, wellness services are also among the bookable additional offers, if available.



  • Where can I see the room prices? How much does a room cost?

    Our prices are calculated daily. Therefore, we cannot provide a general price for an overnight stay. However, you can enter your desired arrival and guest details in the booking form in the top left corner of our online information system, and our system will search for suitable current prices and offers. You do not need to provide any personal information or complete the booking process.

  • Will I get the best price?

    You book directly on the hotel's website. Our hotel does not have to pay any commissions or booking fees to third parties for this reservation, so you can be assured of booking at the best prices and conditions.

  • Are the prices per person or per room?

    All prices quoted in the online booking system are per room unless otherwise stated. Prices per person per night may also be displayed on our regular website; however, these will be clearly marked.

  • Can I book two rooms of different categories?

    This is of course possible online. Simply add another room to your booking using the "Add other rooms" button.



  • Are there non-smoking rooms?

    All our rooms are non-smoking rooms

  • Can I pay directly online?

    Currently, you can book securely through our system using a credit card or online bank transfer.


  • Why haven't I received a reservation number/confirmation?

    In very rare cases, due to technical difficulties, you may not receive a booking confirmation by email, even though you completed the booking correctly. In this case, please also check your spam folder or contact the hotel so that we can resend the confirmation to you.

  • How can I change or cancel a reservation?

    Should you need to change or cancel your reservation, please contact our hotel immediately. Depending on the terms and conditions, some bookings can also be canceled online; in this case, you will find instructions on your booking confirmation. Please pay close attention to the reservation terms and conditions, as fees may apply. You can click on the "Reservation Terms and Conditions" link to view these terms and conditions during the booking process. Additional terms and conditions may also apply; in this case, they will be displayed with the room category.

  • Is tipping customary in hotels in Germany?

    Tipping is not expected by the staff, but it is a sign of appreciation and recognition for a service, and everyone appreciates it. Since we all tend to forget those we don't see, there's a small donation box at reception. Any money put in there is divided fairly, from the chambermaid to the head chef. Of course, you can also give someone a tip personally, and ultimately, it's entirely up to you whether you want to reward good service.
