The Federal Cartel Office reprimands portal operators over reviews:
"Portals and platforms must take significantly more responsibility for the reviews they display," said the president of the Federal Cartel Office. Most portals only conduct preliminary checks for profanity, advertising, or data protection violations. This approach leads to the deletion of many negative reviews. Furthermore, the portals must address the problem of fake reviews.

We spent eight relaxing and wonderful days on the Moselle and felt very comfortable in this fantastic hotel. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Johann family and all the staff once again. You did a superb job and made our time with you truly enjoyable. The Johann family can be proud to have such wonderful, dedicated employees. Stay healthy and take good care of yourselves, especially during these crazy times! We are already looking forward to our next visit and will gladly return! Cochem is not called "the Pearl of the Moselle" for nothing! The Reichsburg Castle towers above everything and is always impressive and simply beautiful from every angle. A visit to the castle is highly recommended! But that's not all; the many well-marked hiking trails are a paradise for hiking enthusiasts. There is so much to explore, discover, and see! A boat trip on the Moselle is also always lovely. We recommend a lock trip to Beilstein, the "Sleeping Beauty of the Moselle"! We had a very nice room with a balcony, which was always thoroughly cleaned. The mattresses are excellent. We always slept wonderfully! The hotel prices are reasonable and, in our opinion, quite good value. There are much more expensive hotels in Cochem with less excellent service and a less-than-stellar location! We love coming back several times a year for a short break. Cochem is simply beautiful and so close. It has a Mediterranean feel to it.
The hotel accommodation and service were good. Excellent, we'd gladly come back.
A very good house for excursions in the surrounding area. We did a lot of cycling and hiking and really relaxed. We felt very comfortable at the hotel.
You walk in and immediately feel at ease. The New Year's Eve arrangements were simply superb... from the champagne reception and the wide selection of hot and cold dishes to the dessert buffet with its many delicious sweet treats and the delectable cheeses... simply fantastic. It was a thoroughly successful New Year's Eve party 2019/20. A huge thank you to the entire team, you were all amazing!
We booked the New Year's Eve package and were very satisfied! Although the hotel is located on the outer edge of Cochem, the town is still easily accessible on foot (15 minutes along the Moselle promenade) and you're not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle.
Pure relaxation in the swimming pool and lounge/bar. The city is easily accessible on foot or by bus. Parking is nearby. The bathroom could use some renovation. Comfortable beds.
No one was unfriendly; everyone treated us courteously, kindly, and helpfully.
